I am a Vietnam veteran who experienced heavy exposure to Agent Orange as a crew chief responsible for maintenance on the C-123 Providers that sprayed it. I have been receiving my health care from the Togus VA Health Center since 1973.

I have heard the complaints filed against the VA and they trouble me. I may be an exception, but I have received nothing but the highest level of care delivered in the most repectful manner by very competent physicians, nurses, mental health workers and administrative staff.

If I had one wish to be fulfilled before I die, it would be that this country replicate the VA health care system as an example of an efficient and comprehensive national health care system for everyone in this country. I know we have the money to accomplish this, but at this time I don’t believe we have the will. Let’s do something about that because everyone deserves the security that available health care brings.
