UNION — The Vose Library has planned the following free events at 392 Common Road.

Garden Series: “Pollinators and the Gardens that Feed Them” will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21. Jean Vose, certified horticulturist and master garden volunteer, was the 2014 Maine State Beekeeper of the Year.

Garden Series for kids: Pollinators! is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21. Children of all ages can learn about birds and bees (and bats and bugs) with Kathryn Jensen of 4-H. There will be a hands-on activity; be prepared to get a little muddy as you learn.

Wanderlust Wednesday: Biking Around the World will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 25. Appleton resident Denis Beaudry circumnavigated the world five years ago by bicycle, 10,000 miles over four months, in addition to a dozen or so other trips. Beaudry will present photographs and answers questions about his travels. This is the last 2018 entry in the library’s Wanderlust Wednesday Armchair Adventures series.
