WATERVILLE — A free Women’s Wellness Walk will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 19, starting at Castonguay Square in downtown Waterville to celebrate National Women’s Health Month. The event is not a race or a competition, just a fun, brisk walk around the downtown for women of all ages. Guided walks are scheduled for 10:15, 10:45 and 11:15 a.m.

The event is sponsored by Inland Hospital. Volunteers will guide participants on a walking route on downtown sidewalks, share the many health benefits of walking, and connect walkers to more walking locations in the community.

Event organizers decided to move away from the annual health fair model and, instead, focus on a more active approach to helping women move more.
