SOUTH PORTLAND — Maine Connections Academy recently announced the following 14 students have been inducted into the school’s chapter of the National Honor Society.

They are Kaitlin Barron, a junior from Castle Hill; Caroline Beckwith, a sophomore from Hampden; Fletcher Cummings, a junior from North Waterboro; Mia Dawbin, a sophomore from West Gardiner; Autumn Finkle, a sophomore from Brownville; Josselyn Green, a sophomore from Waterville; Alycia Jajliardo, a senior from Mount Vernon; Elizabeth Linnell, a senior from Mariaville; Ashley McCabe, a sophomore from Auburn; Aidan Melville, a sophomore from Cumberland Foreside; Madeline Ryan, a sophomore from Arundel; Eva Schroeder, a junior from Dresden; Kalista Staier, a senior from Freeman Township; and Ella Fields, a senior from Auburn.

To be considered for membership, students submitted a formal application and narrative, outlining their qualifications.

These 14 MCA students were selected based on high academic standing, as well as demonstrated excellence in the areas of service, leadership and quality of character. They will be expected to work as a team as they participate in chapter meetings and complete a variety of service projects to benefit their communities.
