The recent revelation of Mayor Nick Isgro’s social media posts has caused consternation in our household. We voted for Mayor Isgro because of his love for Waterville, and because we thought he shared our vision of a town, state, and world where respect and dignity inform every discussion. However, his comments are a clear indication that we are no longer on the same page.
Perhaps more telling than his troubling social media persona is his response to its negative reception. Rather than owning the statements, he has doubled down, complaining of a conspiracy. We support the petition for his recall.
