WALES — Sadie Waterman had a double, a single and an RBI and earned the pitching win to lead Oak Hill past Mt. Abram 12-0 in a Mountain Valley Conference softball game Friday.

Waterman combined with Kiera Young to pitch a one-hitter for Oak Hill (1-0). Young added an RBI double to end the game in the fifth inning due to the mercy rule.

Cam Wahl singled in the third inning for Mt. Abram (0-1).

HALL-DALE 16, WISCASSET 0, 4 innings: Sarah Benner had four of the Bulldogs’ seven hits in the MVC win in Wiscasset.

Kailey Roberts pitched a two-hit shutout to earn the win for Hall-Dale (1-0).

Wiscasset dropped to 0-1.

BASEBALL

HALL-DALE 43, WISCASSET 0: Logan Dupont, Jett Boyer and Alex Haley combined on a no-hitter and the Bulldogs pounded out 22 hits to earn the season-opening win in Farmingdale.

Austin Stebbins had a triple, three singles and four RBIs for Hall-Dale (1-0) while Akira Warren added two singles and four RBIs and Dean Jackman two doubles, a single and three RBIs.

Wiscasset is 0-1.
