FAIRFIELD — Nick Robinson tossed a complete-game, one-hitter to lead the Lawrence baseball team to a 4-2 win over MCI in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Friday.

Robinson finished with seven strikeouts for Lawrence (1-0). Josh Dow had two hits for the Bulldogs, while Michenzie Steeves had a hit and an RBI.

MCI (0-1) scored twice in the sixth inning to cut the Lawrence lead in half but could not get any closer.

SOFTBALL

OAK HILL 12, MT. ABRAM 0, 5 innings: Sadie Waterman had a double, a single and an RBI and earned the pitching win to lead the Raiders to the season-opening victory in Wales.

Waterman combined with Kiera Young to pitch a one-hitter for Oak Hill (1-0). Young added an RBI double to end the game in the fifth inning due to the mercy rule.

Cam Wahl singled in the third inning for Mt. Abram (0-1).
