As a young farmer, I am very excited about Chloe Maxmin’s candidacy for House District 88, and I think you should be too. A lot of young folks are being dogged by uncertain job prospects, debt, and anxiety about how climate change will affect our loved ones and environment. In the face of this insecurity, how can we build strong, resilient communities and make a good life for ourselves and our neighbors?

In Chloe’s candidacy I see another young person who loves her home and understands that this resiliency won’t amount to much if our young people can’t find opportunities to put down roots, and if our aging neighbors can’t stay in the homes where those roots have grown.

I know we can expect Chloe, with our support and democratic agitation, to bring bold ideas to Augusta. We need to ensure that aging residents, workers, students and teachers get the health care and housing we need, the jobs we can live on, the environment we can treasure, and the education we can all be proud of.

Chloe’s passion and optimism are sorely needed, and I know she will represent us well. Please join me in supporting Chloe Maxmin in the June 12 Democratic primary.
