AUBURN — Jackson McPhedran’s two-run single in the third inning was all the offense the Maranacook baseball team needed in a 3-0 win over St. Dominic on Friday.
McPhedran, Silas Mohlar, Dan Garand and Jared Beckwith each had two hits for Maranacook (4-1), while Mitch Root added an insurance RBI in the sixth.
St. Dom’s dropped to 0-1.
RICHMOND 20: HIGHVIEW 5: Zach Small had a double and four RBIs to lead the Bobcats to the East/West Conference victory in Richmond. Danny Stewart had a double and drove in five runs for the Bobcats (2-0).
Highview dropped to 0-1.
CARRABEC 8, OAK HILL 6: Sam LeBeau homered and drove in four runs to lead the Cobras to the Mountain Valley Conference victory. Bailey Dunphy also homered and finished with three RBIs and four runs scored for the Cobras (2-1).
Losing pitcher Sadie Waterman doubled for the Raiders.
GIRLS LACROSSE
FALMOUTH 15, MESSALONSKEE 11: Caitlin Camelio had five goals and three assists to lead the Yachtsmen to the win in Falmouth.
Jo Stucker and Eva Clement each had a hat trick for Falmouth (2-1). Hannah Duvinsky stopped 24 shots.
Ally Turner led the offense for Messalonskee (1-1) with five goals and two assists while Lauren Pickett added four goals and an assist. Sadie Colby made six saves.
