NORTH ANSON — Senior catcher Bailey Dunphy clubbed a pair of home runs and drove in three runs to lead the Carrabec softball team to a 13-5 win over Hall-Dale in a Mountain Valley Conference game Monday afternoon.

Cheyenne Sirois had two singles and three RBIs for Carrabec (6-2), while Sam LeBeau had a single and double. Melanie Clark smacked a triple.

Isabella Marino had a home run and two RBIs for Hall-Dale (3-4). Jill Whynot had a triple, while Sarah Benner and Grace Begin each had three hits.

SKOWHEGAN 7, LAWRENCE 1: Sydney Ames and Ashley Alward combined to pitch a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts as the Indians remained unbeaten with the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win in Fairfield.

Skowhegan (7-0) broke open a scoreless game with three runs in the fifth and another in the sixth. Lindsey Warren had a pair of doubles.

Lawrence (3-4) left the bases loaded in the third. Senior pitcher Samantha Marshall had a perfect game going through four innings, but five errors behind her in the final three frames hurt the Bulldogs.

GARDINER 20, ERSKINE 2: Jazmin Clary hit a double and two triples to help Gardiner take the KVAC B win in South China.

Jill Bisson added a double for Gardiner (6-1), while Meghan Meehan hit three singles for the Tigers. Haley Brann contributed a single and triple for Gardiner.

Parker King, Summer Hotham, and Olivia Wyman each singled for Erskine (1-5).

VALLEY 23-21, FOREST HILLS 0-4: Jada Ward had a pair of triples and a double as the Cavaliers swept the East/West doubleheader in Jackman.

Lexi Davis had a double and a triple in the first game for Valley (3-1).

Miranda Shelley doubled for Forest Hills (0-4) in Game 2.

BASEBALL

FOREST HILLS 10-18, VALLEY 4-6: Jakob Rivas went 7 for 8 with two triples and a double as the Tigers swept the East/West doubleheader in Jackman.

Hunter Cuddy enjoyed a five-hit day for Forest Hills (3-1) and also pitched his way to the Game 2 victory. Caleb Lacasse earned the win in the opener.

Josh Brown went 3 for 3 in the first game for Valley (0-4), while Dillon Beane collected a pair of hits in the nightcap.

MARANACOOK 7, MCI 3: A five-run second inning sent the Black Bears well on their way to the KVAC win in Pittsfield.

Duncan Rogers and Wyatt Lambert each had a pair of hits for Maranacook (7-1). Jay Lauter’s six-inning effort with 14 strikeouts earned him his second win of the season on the mound.

Isaac Bussell had two hits for MCI (0-7).

OCEANSIDE 9, MOUNT VIEW 5: The Mariners scored five times in the third to tie the game before tacking on two more runs in both the fourth and seventh innings en route to the KVAC win in Thorndike.

Joey Curtis had a pair of RBIs and went the distance on the mound for Oceanside (6-1).

Noah Jacobs and Andrew Savoy each had two hits for Mount View (2-6).

GIRLS LACROSSE

MESSALONSKEE 22, GARDINER 1: Chloe Tilley had five goals and two assists as the Eagles raced out to a 19-0 lead at halftime and never looked back in the KVAC game at Thomas College.

Ally Turner added four goals and five assists for Messalonskee (3-2). Lauren Pickett scored three times.

Evelyn Hinkley had the lone goal for Gardiner (1-2).

LAWRENCE 11, WESTBROOK 8: Cassandra Poli scored three goals and had two assists to lead the Bulldogs to the win in Westbrook.

Anna Castonguay had two goals and an assist for Lawrence. Lexi Lewis added two goals for the Bulldogs (4-0), while Nora Buck scored three goals. Sierra Weston made 10 saves for the win.

Michaela Russell had four goals and an assist for Westbrook (0-4). Sheila Lopez made two saves for the Blue Blazes.
