Camden National Bank grant supports Snow Pond Arts project

Snow Pond Arts Academy, a visual and performing arts high school in Sidney, recently announced its receipt of a grant award from Camden National Bank in support of student art shows.

The grant funds the “Feast Your Eyes” project, featuring student sculpture inspired by menu items at participating area restaurants.

Independent Restaurant Supply, of Portland, donated the plates used as canvases on which students have served up their creations. Throughout May, these artistically plated works may be viewed at the following restaurants: Red Barn, Otto’s on the River, Riverfront Barbeque and Bagel Mainea in Augusta; The Quarry Tap Room and The Liberal Cup, in Hallowell; and Peppers Garden and Grill, in Winthrop.

The grant also supports the showing of paintings at The Maine House in Hallowell for the month of June.
