SOUTH PARIS — Keira Hekkinen and Keri Kahkanon each doubled as the Oxford Hills softball team scored a 7-3 win over Cony in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference game Thursday.
Olivia Gallon added a triple for Oxford Hills (9-1). Gaby McGuire and Angela Velazquez each doubled for Cony (2-8).
TEMPLE 11, VALLEY 9: Jaimee Feugill had four hits, including a triple, and drove in four runs to help Temple take the East/West Conference win in Waterville.
Arielle Gott had two hits and an RBI for Temple (2-8). Kenra Sweet tripled and drove in a pair for Valley.
BASEBALL
ST. DOMINIC 2, MARANACOOK 0: The Saints scored single runs in the first and sixth innings and held on for the win in Readfield.
Dan Garand took the tough loss, allowing four hits while striking out 11 for Maranacook (10-2). Mitch Root added two singles.
St. Dominic improves to 8-4.
RICHMOND 11, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 2: Damian Little and Zach Small each drove in three runs for the Bobcats in the win in Richmond.
Matt Rines allowed just three hits and two runs while striking out eight for Richmond (8-0).
NYA fell to 1-6.
