A 68-year-old Norway man died in a house fire Sunday morning, the State Fire Marshal’s Office reported.
Stephen McAllister was found deceased in the living room of his one-story home by Norway firefighters after they responded to the scene at 527 Greenwood Road about 7:30 a.m. The fire had swept through the home.
A neighbor called the fire department after seeing smoke coming from the home. The body was sent to the state medical examiner’s office in Augusta for examination.
No further details of the fire, including the cause, were available Sunday night.
