AUGUSTA — Several city residents are among those indicted on drug trafficking charges by a grand jury sitting in Kennebec County.

An indictment is not a determination of guilt, but it indicates that there is enough evidence to proceed with formal charges and a trial.

Maurice Wilson, also known as Maurice Anthony Wilson II, Tony Wilson and Sosa, 37, of Augusta,was indicted on charges of aggravated trafficking and unlawful trafficking in cocaine, and violating conditions of release Jan. 8, 2018; aggravated trafficking and unlawful trafficking in heroin and violation of conditions of release Jan. 29, 2018; aggravated trafficking and unlawful trafficking in cocaine base and violation of conditions of release March 1, 2018; and unlawful possession of cocaine base and violation of conditions of release March 19, 2018, all in Augusta.

Jaci Beane, also known as Jaci M. Beane and Jaci Annemarie Beane, 24, of Augusta, was indicted on two counts each of unlawful trafficking in heroin and cocaine base, Feb. 1 and Feb. 6, 2018; four counts of aggravated trafficking — indicating the offense took place in an area designated as a drug-safe zone Feb. 16-March 5, 2018, and violation of condition of release March 5, 2018, all in Augusta.

Jon Brotherton, also known as John Joseph Brotherton, 45, of Augusta, and Tabitha L. Luczkowski, 28, of Windsor, was indicted on a charge of unlawful trafficking in cocaine base March 5, 2018, in Augusta.

• Brandon M. Dunton, 18, of Clinton, arson Feb. 13, 2018, in a fire involving a pickup truck on the property of Chris Blanchard in Clinton.

• Dylan Nathaniel Hendsbee, 26, of West Gardiner, aggravated trafficking in cocaine, violation of condition of release and criminal forfeiture of $340 cash seized on Cony Street, all March 4, 2018, in Augusta.

• Nicholas P. Manocchia, 36, of Waterville, theft by deception, misuse of identification and five counts of forgery Oct. 5, 2017-Jan. 27, 2018, all in Waterville.
