Karen Kusiak has my vote in her campaign for a seat in Maine Senate District 16. She is highly qualified for the role as a senator, having had many years of experience in politics and education. She served in the 126th Legislature representing Fairfield, Smithfield, and Rome, and also served on the School Administrative District 49 board of directors for 15 years, ending in 2012.

Karen and I have worked together on women’s issues in the American Association of University Women. She supports issues such as health care, reproductive health, education, and gender equity. Karen has held to Title IX’s principle of non-discrimination based on gender in deliberations as a member of the SAD 49 board.

Karen is a reliable, trustworthy woman. I encourage all voters in Senate District 16 to go to the polls on June 12 and support her candidacy.
