SOUTH CHINA — Madison Boynton drove in a pair of runs and Kayla Hodgkins homered to lead the Erskine softball team to a 6-5 win over Lawrence in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Tuesday. Summer Hotham added three singles for Erskine (5-11), while Chiara Mahoney singled and doubled.
Samantha Marshall hit a double and single and drove in a pair of runs for Lawrence (8-8). Camryn Caldwell and Cassidy Sirois each had two hits for the Bulldogs.
BASEBALL
MARANACOOK 10, MOUNT VIEW 0: Aric Belanger had a double and two RBIs to lead the Black Bears in Readfield.
Jackson McPhedran added two RBIs for Maranacook (13-3).
Barack Moody had a single for Mount View (2-14).
LAWRENCE 3, ERSKINE 1, 9 INN.: Nick Robertson’s single scored Braden Ballard with the go ahead run in the top of the ninth, lifting the Bulldogs to the KVAC B win in South China.
Nick Grard had three singles for Lawrence (5-11), while Josh Dow had a pair of hits for the Bulldogs. Michenzie Steeves earned the win in relief.
Boomer Jorgensen had three hits for Erskine (4-12).
GIRLS LACROSSE
MESSALONSKEE 20, CONY 10: Ally Turner scored 10 goals to lead the Eagles to a Class B win over the Rams in Augusta.
Lauren Pickett had six goals for Messalonskee (7-4). Katie Luce had six saves.
Faith Leathers-Pouliot, Sarah Caron and Hannah Rouleau each had two goals for Cony (6-5).
OXFORD HILLS 18, GARDINER 5: The Vikings rolled to the KVAC win in Gardiner. Hailee Lovely and Evelyn Hinkley each scored a pair of goals for Gardiner (4-7), while Madisyn Smith scored a goal.
Willow Lavoie and Julia Hinkley combined for 15 saves for the Tigers. Oxford Hills is 9-2.
ERSKINE 9, LINCOLN ACADEMY 5: Joanna Linscott scored three goals to lead the Eagles to a win in South China.
Jordan Linscott, Ella Johnson and Liz Sugg each had two goals for Erskine (7-4). Ashlynn Wing had eight saves.
Brinley Harrison had four goals for Lincoln (2-10).
