FARMINGTON — The Franklin County 4-H fair and benefit auction will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, at the Farmington Fairgrounds Starbird Building, 292 High St.
The free fair is an annual event that celebrates the 4-H philosophy of learn by doing, with hands-on workshops, demonstrations and panel discussions, led by 4-H members and volunteers. Maine 4-H is the youth development program of University of Maine Cooperative Extension.
Children ages 5-8 must be accompanied by an adult to participate in the workshops. Entries for all contests will be accepted from 8 to 10 a.m. The auction will begin at 7 p.m., with a preview of items starting at 6 p.m. All proceeds support Franklin County 4-H programs.
