I would like to thank Sen. Shenna Bellows for representing my town, Readfield, for the past two years. Whether spending time meeting with residents at our town hall or meeting and listening to people at events like our annual tree lighting, fire department breakfast, and Veterans Day ceremonies, Shenna has been listening to and responding to our community.
Shenna is a tireless advocate for the neediest among us. Her focus on the uneven burden that property taxes place on town residents because of tax shifting from the state onto municipalities is welcome.
Serving the last two years in Augusta could not have been more challenging. But the future offers the promise of new opportunities, and I know Shenna Bellows is ready to continue working hard for us. I invite you to join me in voting to re-elect her to the Maine Senate.
