Skowhegan Police Detective Katelyn Nichols, currently serving a tour of duty overseas with the Maine National Guard, recently took part in a 5K carrying a brick with the name of a fallen officer. Nichols, a staff sergeant, carried a brick in memory of Corp. Eugene Cole from the Somerset Sheriff’s Office. A memorial will be erected with the brick in his honor.
