The Whitefield Economic Development Committee is developing a map and guide for Whitefield visitors. The guide will be distributed at Whitefield businesses and will include a map, history, recreational sites, free listing of businesses and space for paid advertising. The first edition of the guide will be published for distribution this summer.
The mission of the committee is to develop new businesses as well as facilitate growth of the town’s present businesses, while still protecting the town’s rural nature. The development and design of the map and guide has been created and designed by volunteers and will involve no tax payer money.
The map and guide committee has a list of present businesses and wants to include as many free listings as possible. However, the list may not be very current and needs to be brought up to date.
