I am very disappointed in the newspaper for the article on Francis Smith (“Norridgewock farmer found dead under machine had kidnapping conviction,”June 1).
His death was a tragedy and I didn’t think it was kind of you to bring back all that happened a few years ago. He did wrong but did his time and was always a gentleman when I went to pick blueberries. He worked hard for many years to keep his crop in great shape.
We should remember the good things about people when they pass away. He even brought a chair for me up the the berries as I have a bad back. I send condolences to all his family.
