I will cast one vote in the Democratic primary for the 2nd Congressional District on June 12. Jared Golden understands the struggles we all face here in Skowhegan and across the district.
He grew up not far from here in Leeds mowing grass at his family’s business. After the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, he left college and joined the Marines. His service to our country, state and his community is strong. His voting record in the Maine House is clear on the issues that matter for working families, veterans, labor, conservation sportsmen and more.
Jared’s motto he learned in the service is “Leadership means putting the people you lead first. Good leaders never cut in line — they make sure people are taken care of before thinking about themselves.” I have seen first hand that Jared lives this moto everyday.
