Two men were injured in a head on crash near 513 Sokokis Ave. in Limington on Saturday.

York County Sheriff William King said in a statement that Michael Archuleta, 35, of Limington was operating a 2002 Subaru Forester east on Sokokis Avenue when he crossed the centerline and struck a 2015 Subaru Legacy operated by Nicholas Brough, 27, of Limington.

Rescue workers used a hydraulic tool to extract Archuleta from his vehicle. He was taken to Maine Medical Center by Limington Fire and Rescue with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Brough was taken to the hospital as a precaution, police said.

There were no passengers in either vehicle.

Sokokis Avenue was closed to traffic for about an hour. The crash is still under investigation.
