Yes, I ride an ATV. The ATV’s do not cause the damage; it’s the people that are driving them that cause the damage, whether they spin the tires or go places that they should not be. People need to stay on marked trails.
Now the ruts on the trail cannot be helped because the trail is only so wide — all vehicles drive in the same path, so there will be ruts; it can’t be helped. Just like the big trucks on interstate — they all drive the same path and they make ruts too.
