WATERVILLE — The following area students were recently named to the 2018 spring semester dean’s list at Colby College.

Jonathan A. Allard, a freshman, attended Medomak Valley High School and is the son of Laura Roberts of Washington. He majored in computer science.

Grace L. Andrews, a freshman, attended Mount Blue High School and is the daughter of James and Claire Andrews of Farmington. She majored in environmental science.

Caroline E. Balano-Stott, a freshman, attended Monmouth Academy and is the daughter of Joel and Stephanie Balano-Stott of Monmouth. She majored in history.

Alyssa C. Chesney, a sophomore, attended George Stevens Academy and is the daughter of Grace Konecny of Blue Hill, and Stephen Chesney of Canaan. She majored in history.

Jacob O. Hyatt, a senior, attended Oceanside High School — East and is the son of Melanie Hyatt of Thomaston,and Erik Hyatt of Farmingdale. He majored in English with a concentration in creative writing.

Sarah E. Morgan, a freshman, attended Gardiner Area High School and is the daughter of Charles and Marla Morgan of Gardiner. She majored in biology.

Danielle C. Palmer, a senior, attended Mount Ararat School and is the daughter of Carmen Palmer of Topsham,and Kelly Palmer of Topsham. She majored in history.

Lucy E. Soucek, a senior, attended Mount Desert Island High School and is the daughter of Anne Rhode of Bar Harbor, and Leo Soucek of Topsham. She majored in religious studies and theater and dance.

Eleanor Rose M. Theriault, a freshman, attended Erskine Academy and is the daughter of David and Linda Theriault of Vassalboro. She majored in global studies and Spanish.

Kaitlin M. Volk, a junior, attended Mount Ararat School and is the daughter of Ronald and Lisa Volk of Bowdoin. She majored in biology with a concentration in ecology and evolution and environmental science.

Allison M. Wehrle, a sophomore, attended Lincoln Academy and is the daughter of Paul and Ginger Wehrle of Wiscasset. She majored in English with a concentration in creative writing and educational studies.

Colleen E. Wright, a sophomore, attended Maranacook Community School and is the daughter of James and Mary Wright of Fayette. She majored in music-interdisciplinary computation.

Each student is one of 438 Colby students, or 23 percent of the qualified student body, to qualify for the dean’s list last semester. Students earned a semester grade point average of 3.75 or higher to qualify the dean’s list last semester.
