The Mallett Brothers Band will perform live at 7 p.m. Friday, July 6, on Front Street in Downtown Augusta to kick off the first of two benefit shows this summer. The event is co-sponsored by Kennebec Savings Bank and Cushnoc Brewing.

With a style that blends elements of alt-country, Americana, jam and roots rock, the band is influenced by the singer/songwriter tradition as well as by harder rock, classic country and psychedelic sounds.

The concert will launch as part of an ongoing effort to restore the Colonial Theater. The theater is currently undergoing construction to repair the auditorium’s floor, with façade improvements to happen later.

Tickets cost $20 per person and are available online at Eventbrite. Tickets will be sold at the gate on the corner of Front and Winthrop streets the night of the show for $25.
