MOUNT VERNON — Stories from the Metroplex will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, at the Mount Vernon Community Center, Main Street.
Attendees will share brief stories, musings and odd, sweet, or funny bits of writing they’ve come across.
Ideas for what you can share: stories from your childhood, something you wrote for school and have kept over the years, passages from correspondence, odd recipes, hopes for future adventures.
Organizers ask that stories are family-friendly, and are no longer than five minutes in length. Snacks will be included during the event.
The event is sponsored by the community center and the Dr. Shaw Memorial Library.
