I have known Laura Fortman for over 25 years, and I cannot recommend her highly enough in her campaign to become the senator for District 13.

I know Laura to be a committed public servant who wants what is best for the people of Maine. She will bring her voice of reason and her commitment to common-sense solutions to the problems facing our state.

She will be a strong advocate for working women and men, using her experience as state labor commissioner to guide her thinking. She will be a supporter of expanding access to health care. Laura knows that quality education is the basis for a strong economy. She will work to balance environmental concerns and job creation, knowing that the two go hand in hand.

Laura has worked with the Legislature advocating for families and for women. She has served in the executive branch as a commissioner. She knows how to get things done in state government. I hope my neighbors in Windsor and that part of Lincoln County that is in District 13 will join me and vote for Laura Fortman for the Maine Senate.
