In recent times we have been so discouraged by politicians and politics both locally and nationally. No one will listen to anyone who may have another point of view, and the lack of respect generally is discouraging.
Chloe Maxmin, who is running for state representative for Chelsea, Jefferson, Whitefield and Nobleboro, has been an unexpected bright light in this climate. She is intelligent, passionate, and committed to making a difference. We have heard her talk with many people and she always expresses a genuine interest and concern.
We are fortunate to have Chloe as a candidate who is willing to jump into the political fray and we encourage everyone to take her seriously, listen to what she has to say, and to vote for her on Nov. 6.
