RICHMOND — A Richmond police cruiser apparently was damaged Tuesday in an incident on River Road.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the area of 48 River Road, which is also Route 24.

Maine State Police, the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office, Richmond police and Gardiner Ambulance went to the scene.

Richmond’s Ford Explorer SUV police cruiser, which was on River Road, appeared to have sustained front-end damage in the incident.

Police could not be reached immediately for information on what happened.

Emergency radio traffic indicated a male driver’s vehicle might have struck two police cruisers.
