AUGUSTA — Police say that a local man suffered extensive injuries after his car rolled into a gully off Sewall Street shortly before 11 p.m. Monday.
The man, 33-year-old Seth Mieres, was taken to MaineGeneral Medical Center after the crash, said Sgt. Christian Behr, of the Augusta Police Department.
Mieres’ condition was unavailable Tuesday. Behr said his injuries were extensive but did not have more information about them. A MaineGeneral representative said there was no record of him being treated there.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash, which was reported near a home at 128 Sewall St.
“There may be charges pending,” Behr said.
After the crash was reported at 10:53 p.m., first responders spent over an hour at the scene, according to the city police log. They had to remove the car from the gully and investigate what caused the accident, Behr said.
