“Enjoy The Hue,” a solo exhibition of artwork by artist Bruce Mayo, of Hallowell, will be on view Aug. 3 through Sept. 1 at The Harlow, 100 Water St. in Hallowell. The public is invited to attend the opening reception and meet the artist on Friday, August 3, 5-7pm.

The exhibit marks Bruce Mayo’s 30 year anniversary of creating whimsical, ethereal, playful art with a twist. Acrylic, watercolor and inks are used to create mystical images revolving around musicians, pups, portraits, fish, landscapes and more.

The exhibition features no shortage of color and spirit as Mayo’s vibrant artwork covers both floors of the gallery.

The exhibit is sponsored by Doug and Melinda Jennings, Carol and Roger Pomerleau, and Rosemary and Ish.

Gallery hours are noon-6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday noon-6pm and noon-4 p.m. Sundays.
