Some of the candidates running for office are worth talking about, but one in particular is outstanding: Jason Putnam. Jason is a neighbor and friend, and he has served well on the Wiscasset School Board. He’s running for House District 87, which includes Wiscasset, Alna, Pittston and Randolph).

Putnam knows that a great education for every child is the best investment we can make in the future of this state. And he promotes training in skilled trades after high school. That’s good common sense. As a former teacher, and a taxpayer, it’s important to me that Jason knows the value of money as well as the value of education — Jason is a successful small business owner, and an excellent carpenter.

Jason Putnam deserves our full support to put our money where it counts. If you want to build a good future for our children and for our state, put a carpenter in the House!
