Connie Hayes, a painter from Rockland, has been named the judge for this year’s ninth annual ARTinME Exhibit, which will run from Oct. 12 through Nov. 11 at the foundation, 1 Townsend Ave., Boothbay Harbor.
An awards ceremony and a gala opening reception will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 13.
The exhibit presents a fresh and selective look at the fine art being produced by Maine artists, showcasing originality and skill in the painting, drawing, printmaking and sculptural media. Monetary prizes, amounting to more than $1,500 will be awarded.
There is a limit of two entries per artist; the entry fee is $15 per entry for members and $20 per entry for nonmembers. The entry deadline is Aug. 31. Work is entered digitally and a prospectus on the exhibition can be found at boothbayartists.org.
The event is sponsored by Boothbay Region Art Foundation. Hayes is known for her “Borrowed Views” and paintings of Maine landscapes and interiors.
Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. For more information, call 633-2703.
