In recognition of Chateau Cushnoc’s 35th anniversary, a ceremony was held Aug. 8 at the Augusta facility on Townsend Street, where residents joined in acknowledging the 35 years since the residential facility for seniors and individuals with disabilities was built. Speeches were given, veterans were honored, awards were presented and all was followed by a lunch and cake in the back patio. In attendance were Terry Redlevske, community manager for Chateau Cushnoc; Patrick Paradis, Board of Directors for Chateau Cushnoc; Steve Protulis, president and CEO of Elderly Housing Development & Operations Corporation; David Rollins, Mayor and guest speaker to present proclamation; and Jennifer Day, guest At-Large City Councilor.
