A woman was taken to the hospital following a reported robbery in the central Maine town of China early Monday afternoon.

Maine State Police Sgt. Jason Madore said the Christmas Eve incident remains under investigation, and there is no immediate threat to the public.

State police evidence recovery technicians were at a home on Alder Park Road processing the scene Monday afternoon, Madore said.

He confirmed a woman was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Police received a call from that residence from a woman had reported that the home has been ransacked and that she had been threatened, according to emergency dispatch reports.

The road connects with Route 202, also known as Lakeview Drive, and Route 3.

Police were reportedly looking for three people in connection with the reported invasion — two men and a woman — in a black extended cab pickup truck who may be headed to the Waterville area.
