The Shake Dancers will perform from 9 p.m. to midnight New Years Eve, Monday, Dec. 31, at Mountain Village Farm B&B, 164 Main St. in Kingfield.
The event will be followed by fireworks.
The Shake Dancers is an old school blues band playing the raw Chicago, Memphis and New Orleans blues style of the post World War II era, as well as their own original blues music. With a deep, infectious groove influenced by such blues legends as Little Walter, James Cotton and Sonny Boy Williamson, the trio has been well received at L/A Arts Concert Series and The Maine Balloon Festival among other smaller venues around the state.
Founding member of the Juke Joint Devils, vocalist and blues harpist extraordinaire, Tommy O’Connell is joined by blues wunderkind, Zack Pomereau on vocals, guitar and harmonica and Andy Buckland on upright bass.
Tickets cost $10 in advance or $15 at the door.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
