Flu activity in Maine is characterized by the Centers for Disease Control as regional and the numbers are growing. There have been four deaths from influenza this season. The number of deaths caused by the flu and secondary infections is probably much larger. In the last week there were 12 hospitalizations, bringing the season’s total to 88.

The numbers of flu cases shown here are confirmed positive influenza tests.
