Fred Stubbert was honored at the Waterville City Council meeting held on Dec. 18. The Waterville annual report was dedicated to him, and it highlighted all that he did for Waterville during the years he served.
As a Ward 1 resident, Stubbert was my councilor for 12 years. Anytime there were concerns, he always had time to talk with you, understood the concerns, and then took action on the issue.
As he said, “The residents are the most important and I am here to serve them.” Fred always treated all residents with respect and caring. Many of us wished he had stayed on the council for another 12 years.
What a great attitude in which he has lived by and served his community. I thank him for his service to Ward 1 and the city of Waterville.
