FARMINGTON — The annual Martin Luther King Day Service, sponsored by Farmington Area Ecumenical Ministry, will begin at noon Monday, Jan. 21, at Old South First Congregational Church, 227 Main St.
Craig Hickman, from Winthrop, will be the guest speaker. As well as being an organic farmer and writer, Hickman serves in the Maine House of Representatives as the Democratic representative for Maine’s 81st district. He has been appointed chairman of the Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, and chairman of the Citizen Trade Policy Commission.
