SKOWHEGAN — A Norridgewock man has been indicted by a Somerset County grand jury, charging him with tampering with a victim in a pending criminal case.

Tyson P. Splude, 31, is charged with attempting to cause a woman to falsely testify, Nov. 21, in Madison, according to the indictment. The charge is a Class B felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prison with a conviction.

Splude was indicted by a grand jury in October and charged with domestic violence terrorizing, which was elevated to a felony because of a previous domestic violence assault conviction, Oct. 4, in Norridgewock. He also was charged by another grand jury in December with four counts of violating conditions of release, Oct. 11, in Madison.

He was charged additionally by the new grand jury last week with three counts of attempted violation of conditions of release.

An indictment is not a finding of guilt but is an indication that enough evidence is present to proceed with a trial.

Others indicted by the grand jury were:

• Richard Andrew Austin, 33, of Norridgewock, charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, violating conditions of release and criminal forfeiture of $1,476 in cash, Dec. 20, in Norridgewock. The aggravated trafficking charge is elevated to the felony level because of a prior trafficking conviction in November 2008.

• Tommy-Alan W. Hewins, 34, of Burnham, charged with aggravated assault and criminal mischief, July 15, in Canaan.

• Lisa A. Lee, 43, of Waterville, charged with one count of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, Oct. 16, in Fairfield. She has two previous convictions for unlawful trafficking in January 2017.

• Devon N. Chapman, 22, of Norridgewock, charged with operating after license revocation. He has a previous conviction for criminal operating under the influence in March 2018.

• Stacy L. Morse, 46, of Hartland, charged with Class B tampering with a victim, Nov. 21, in Palmyra.

• Miles O. Carmichael, 42, of St. Albans, charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, July 29, in St. Albans.

• Crystal L. Taylor, 33, of Chelsea, charged with unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, Class B, trafficking in prison contraband, two counts of unlawful possession of drugs and with three counts of violating the conditions of release, Dec. 31, in Madison.
