This article hit me personally (“Jim Adinolfi’s Hotel Harris in Rumford: ‘top-notch’ or ‘scam’?,” Jan. 5).

I had booked a room online for a wedding I was going to in Sunday River this past summer. This Hotel Harris is what I could afford. I booked online with my mom’s credit card; it was all paid.

I arrived at the hotel to get changed before wedding and planned on spending night. It was absolutely disgusting, I’m still going back and forth with my credit union because I got charged twice for this nasty room and never spent the night. My credit union is still going after the double charge on a room I never stayed in. Worst experience ever.
