MADISON — Kaeti Butterfield scored 18 points to lead the Monmouth girls basketball team past Madison 49-47 in a back-and-forth Mountain Valley Conference game Friday.

Katie Harris added 10 points for Monmouth (9-4).

Madison (5-8) was led by Katie Worthen with 19 points.

RANGELEY 51, VALLEY 47: Trailing with 23 seconds left in regulation, Rangeley managed to come back and seal the game in an East/West game in Bingham.

Rangeley (11-1), which won its eighth straight, was 8 for 9 in free throws in the fourth quarter to sink the Cavaliers (8-6). Lauren Eastlack led the Lakers with 14 points, while Olivia Pye added 11.

Jillian Miller and Kendra Sweet each had 14 points for Valley.

OAK HILL 53, LISBON 29: Paige Gonya had 16 points to lead the Raiders. Desirae Dumais and Sara Moring each had nine points for the Raiders (11-1).

Valerie Doucette and Mallory Fairbanks each had six points for the Greyhounds (1-11).

BOYS BASKETBALL

VALLEY 73, RANGELEY 57: Joey Thomas scored 29 points — nailing six 3-pointers — to lead the Cavaliers to an East/West victory over the Lakers in Bingham.

Zach Walter scored 14 points and had eight rebounds, while Spencer Hunnewell scored 10 points, had four rebounds and four assists for Valley (9-4).

Nolan Boone led Rangeley (7-4) with 18 points.
