BOOTHBAY — Alec Byron joined the 1,000-point club and the Hall-Dale boys basketball team beat Boothbay 87-76 in a Mountain Valley Conference clash Monday night.

Byron finished with 18 points for the Bulldogs (11-1), connecting on a jump shot to end the third quarter to reach 1,000 points for his career. Ashtyn Abbott led Hall-Dale with 25 points in the win.

Steve Reny scored 21 in the loss for Boothbay (10-3), and Hunter Crocker added 20 more for the Seahawks.

LAWRENCE 57, MESSALONSKEE 37: The Bulldogs pulled away with a 26-point fourth quarter for the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win in Oakland.

Kobe Nadeau scored a game-high 22 points to lead Lawrence (7-6), while Gavin Herrin added eight points in the victory.

Matthew Parent’s 15 points led Messalonskee (6-6), which was outscored 38-19 after halftime.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

WINTHROP 36, DIRIGO 20: Aaliyah WilsonFalcone scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Ramblers to the MVC win.

Kena Souza chipped in 10 for Winthrop (11-1).

Ashley Perrault and Alyssa McTyre scored 10 points apiece for Dirigo (3-9).

WINSLOW 66, BELFAST 21: Bodhi Littlefield had 14 points and six steals to lead the Black Raiders to the KVAC B win in Winslow.

Silver Clukey and Paige Trask added 11 points apiece for Winslow (9-3) while Maeghan Bernard grabbed eight rebounds.

Belfast (0-13) was led by Grace Fitzjurls with eight points.

SKOWHEGAN 51, HAMPDEN 27: Annie Cooke poured in 17 points, including 11 from the free throw line, as Skowhegan remained unbeaten with the KVAC A win at home to complete the season sweep of the Broncos.

Sydney Ames added 10 points for Skowhegan (13-0).

Bailey Donovan scored a game-high 18 points for Hampden (11-3), which lost its second straight game.
