AUGUSTA — Cam Monroe’s 3-pointer with one second remaining lifted the Brewer boys basketball team to a dramatic 61-60 win over Cony in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Tuesday night.

Trevor Pearson scored 20 points to lead Brewer (6-8). Brandon Glidden added 11 points in the victory, while Monroe finished with 10 on the night.

Kyle Douin led all scorers for Cony (9-4) with 18 points. Dakota Dearborn added 13, and Simon McCormick had five points and 11 assists.

MARANACOOK 58, OCEANSIDE 55: The Black Bears outscored the Mariners 18-14 in the final quarter to hold on for the KVAC B win in Readfield.

Cash McClure led Maranacook (11-2) with 14 points while Skyler Boucher and Joseph Dupont added 11 each.

Oceanside (10-4) was led by Jack Lombardo with 17 points and Cooper Wirkala with 15.

TEMPLE 46, VINALHAVEN 37: Ilija Ivkovic scored 17 points and the Bereans pulled away in the second half via a big third quarter to the East/West Conference win in Vinalhaven.

Stevo Kruta added 12 points, five rebounds and two steals in the victory for Temple (9-4). The Bereans overcame a 26-11 halftime deficit by outscoring Vinalhaven 22-3 in the third period and 35-11 overall after the break.

Alec Radley led Vinalhaven (1-11) with 11 points.

ERSKINE 65, LINCOLN 45: Braden Soule scored a game-high 24 points to lead Erskine to the KVAC B win in Newcastle.

Jacob Mortimer added 10 points for Erskine (9-5) while Gavin Blanchard hauled in 10 rebounds.

Lincoln (1-13) was led by Joel Hatch with 17 points.

FOREST HILLS 83, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 14: Parker Desjardins’ 20 points were more than enough to lead the unbeaten Tigers to the win in South Portland.

Jackman Daigle (14 points, 12 rebounds) and Joey Poulin (11 points, 10 rebounds) each recorded double-doubles for Forest Hills (13-0). The Tigers allowed only four points in the first half and never more than five in any single quarter.

Christian Patterson finished with eight points for Greater Portland Christian (0-7).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

CARRABEC 47, TELSTAR 30: Freshman forward Cheyenne Cahill drained a game-high 28 points to power the Cobras to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Bethel.

Brooke Welch added 10 points for Carrabec (4-10). The Cobras battled back after spotting the Rebels a 9-0 lead to open the game.

Luci Rothwell scored a team-high 20 points for Telstar (3-11).

RANGELEY 41, PINE TREE ACADEMY 37: Winnie Larochelle had 22 points to pace the comeback for the Lakers in Freeport.

Rangeley (12-1) used a 13-4 fourth quarter run to rally for the win.

Adrianna DePalma had 17 points for Pine Tree Academy (6-7), including three 3-pointers to lead the offense.

OAK HILL 49, MT. ABRAM 22: Desirae Dumais led the Raiders with 11 points in the MVC win in Salem.

Anna Beach and Abby Nadeau each had seven points for Oak Hill (12-1) as 10 different Raiders found their ways on the score sheet.

Kaylee Knight led Mt. Abram (5-9) with nine points. Summer Ross added seven.

ERSKINE 44, LINCOLN 32: Emily Clark scored 11 points to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in South China.

Jordan Linscott chipped in with 10 points for Erskine (7-7), which outscored Lincoln 27-12 in the second half for the come-from-behind win.

Chelsea Williams scored 10 points for Lincoln (8-6).
