Augusta police continue to investigate a report of several shots being fired Sunday afternoon near a home on Route 105.

Sgt. Chris Blodgett said Sunday night that officers were called to a home at 965 South Belfast Ave. – also known as Route 105 – around 3:07 p.m. after someone reported hearing shots fired.

Augusta police officers searched the residence and surrounding the property before turning the investigation over to detectives.

Blodgett said there were no injuries reported or arrests made.

The report remained under investigation late Sunday night.
