The Underwood Memorial Library of Fayette Maine and the Broad of Trustees have been awarded a $1,000 grant from the Maine Community Fund.

The Board and the Director Evelyn Feagin and Assistant Michele Briggs have been planning and working on improvements within the library for months. The money was used to develop a reading room for adults with-in the library. The grant purchased room improvements and the furnishings for the new area.

A ribbon cutting event will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the library at 2006 Main St., refreshments will be served.
