MANCHESTER — The entries for the “Just for Fun” Glass Art Contest are on display through April at Stained Glass Express, ADDRESS??.

The annual contest, now in its 27th year, is held as part of National Stained Glass Month. Prizes are awarded by popular vote to winners in each of three categories: Cold Glass (for stained glass pieces); Hot/Warm Glass (for flame-worked and fused glass pieces); and Mosaics.

First place winners in each category received a $100 gift certificate, while second place winners for each category receive a $75 gift certificate, according to a news release from Janet Parkhurst, owner of Stained Glass Express.

“Every year, we look forward to the wide range of entries submitted,” said Parkhurst, in the release. “It’s so much fun to see the artistry and creativity that glass inspires.”

The contest has received 88 entries this year, from glass artists throughout Maine.
