DELAWARE, Ohio — Amanda Hays, of Winthrop, was awarded 2019 membership in the Mortar Board national honor society during a Ohio Wesleyan University campus ceremony on March 28.
Mortar Board recognizes students with senior standing for exemplary scholarship, leadership and service.
The honor society, founded in 1918, also “provides opportunities for continued leadership development, promotes service to colleges and universities, and encourages lifelong contributions to the global community.”
Ohio Wesleyan’s newest Mortar Board members also includes university President Rock Jones, Ph.D., who earned honorary membership in the organization along with Hays and 21 other OWU students.
