The driver of a box truck that collided with a passenger car on Route 302 in Windham on Tuesday morning was summoned for failure to yield the right of way.

Capt. William Andrew of the Windham Police Department identified the driver of the Ryder truck as 41-year-old Jason Fanjoy of Gray.

Andrew said the collision, which was reported just before 9 a.m., forced police to close Route 302, near its intersection with Ward Road, for about two hours. The road reopened to traffic around 11 a.m. The accident took place near the Lake Region Animal Hospital.

Andrew said Fanjoy’s truck was turning from Ward Road onto Route 302 when it collided with a 2006 Ford Fusion sedan traveling on Route 302. The car was driven by 23-year-old Angelica Salinas of Windham.

Salinas complained of pain and was taken by Windham ambulance to Maine Medical Center in Portland as a precautionary measure. Her injuries were considered to be minor.

The crash was investigated by Windham police Officer James Cook.
